With You Every Step Of The Way
At Dovehouse Dentistry in Solihull, we specialise in relieving discomfort through expert tooth extraction.
Our skilled team addresses issues promptly, including the effective removal of impacted wisdom teeth prone to infections due to their challenging angles.
These teeth, tucked far back in the mouth, often trap food particles, leading to infections.
Our team are adept at extracting even complex wisdom teeth, prioritising patient comfort and safety. Through advanced techniques like CT scans, we ensure precise positioning in relation to nerves, providing informed diagnoses and instilling confidence in the entire procedure.
Let's Talk Tooth Extractions
Extractions
Although we always do our best to “save” your teeth, occasionally a tooth extraction may be necessary due to wide-spread damage caused by injury or disease.
What If I Feel Nervous About Having An Extraction?
We understand that you may be experiencing anxiety about your tooth extraction, which may be coupled with your extended discomfort due to your damaged tooth. For anxious patients, our calming chair side manner and relaxed tone, allow patients to successfully complete treatments.
What Is The Process Like?
Before any extraction, we will perform a thorough visual examination, and use x-ray imaging to determine the condition of the tooth. Such an assessment is vital before extraction but can also be used to explore your future replacement options.
Most tooth extractions are a straightforward procedure, followed by at-home care that includes rest and gentle care of the extraction site. Your dentist will discuss what to expect during and after your extraction, as well as your aftercare.
Wisdom Tooth Extraction?
Sometimes there may not be enough room in your mouth for your wisdom teeth to erupt fully. This can result in localised infections causing pain and discomfort. If your wisdom teeth are repeatedly symptomatic or damaging neighbouring teeth, we will consider their removal. We may remove your wisdom teeth ourselves or refer you to hospital if our assessment indicates that this is necessary.
